OD MIAMI

OD Miami, will become in 2020, the first hotel of the chain outside of Spain and as it has done with its other hotels, taking care of its historic past by transforming the emblematic Dade-Commonwealth building into a five-star boutique hotel with 169 rooms , to become the new OD in Miami. This well-known property designed by Martin L. Hampton in 1925 became the tallest building in the city during the year of its construction. After the famous hurricane that hit Miami in 1926, its structure suffered very significant damage and the deployment of the Stock Exchange in 1929, which ended its splendor, becoming the property of a bank that reduced its height to seven floors and sell the steel of the last ten. Now, the area of currently 4,000 m2 on 7 floors will be expanded to 10,000 m2 on 17 floors, in a project to restore the original historical sense, carried out by the American architect R.J. Heisenbottle. The architect Charles Benson will develop the hotel construction project.
